Setting the dimensions/perspective (I think)

In the lwjgl example Polygon.java, the value of 1.0f is a huge percentage of the 640x480 screen. If I wanted 1.0f to correspond to one pixel, which value do I need to change?

Something like:

glOrtho(0, screenWidth, 0, screenHeight, near, far);
