Server issues (Java4k.com, Games4j.com...)

Java4k.com and Games4j.com have been down since friday, this is because they decided to move the server room from one building to another with almost no notice.

It will hopefully be up again within 1-2 days, they’re still working on it. :-\

(yes, my avatar image is hosted on the same server and that’s why it’s broken)

I’ve had this with a dirt-cheap hoster. They suddenly moved 3000+ servers to another datacenter. In the new datacenter about 5% of the disks failed to boot. Horror. Most clients had no backups.

O_O That sounds bad on an epic scale? What was the reason for the move?

I think it was simply to save on rent…
