Selling my PC

Ah - many a wonderful experience I’ve had with my PC, but it’s time to move on to something new.

I’m selling my PC, and before offering it on eBay I’d rather post it up here for a fellow developer who might need a cheaper PC for a server, or extra testing machine, whatever. I’ll wait for a month or so before posting it on eBay.

For $215:
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
Dual display (monitors not included):
GeForce 3 Ti200 AGP w/128 MB vid ram
GeForce 2 MX 400 PCI w/64 MB vid ram
1.5 GB RAM
80 GB Hard drive
500W powersupply

2 Optical drives:
Single-layer, DVD-+RW drive, (8x for plus discs, 4x for minus discs), 40x CD-RW burner
16x DVD / 40x CD-ROM

Motherboard:
MSI MS-6380E Ultra KT3 (I still have the original manual)
AGP 4x

Wired and wireless networking:
Linksys USB Wireless-G network adapter
PCI 10/100 Wired NIC

Custom cooled, with add-in fans (fun side project) - I’ll admit, it’s a bit more noisy than your average PC
4x USB 2.0 ports on the back (add-in card)
No Firewire ports, sorry

I’ll wipe with XP Pro SP2 with the latest security updates, partition it anyway you want, get drivers installed, etc. I’ll even pre-install Eclipse or NetBeans for you, and the JDK of your choice. :slight_smile: What the hell good would it be if it didn’t have an IDE on it?!

It’s been good to me. I’ve had it for about 2 years or so (using it right now). Sorry to use the forums for this, but there you go. I’ll add some pics soon as I can.

can’t blame Riven though, you recently bumped a thread that was 4 years old (regarding bandwidth) even though the original poster of that thread has been inactive so long that his profile says that he has never been active. (since at least the new forum software was installed) >_>

Are you really interested to buy? Even if the shipment of the stuff might be more expensive than the hardware itself?

Well after such a long time I did eventually give up. I still have the PC (USD btw), but the value has obviously dropped a bit. I’m considering turning it into a linux box since I now have my new PC (well, MacBook to be exact). Decided not to sell my PC on eBay because I only finally got my new computer about a month ago.

I’ve actually been inactive on the forums for a long time. Who thought I’d ever come back? :slight_smile:

What’s the big game in the community these days? It is still Wurm Online?

Yeah i’ve got a pc of those specs just sitting in my attic collecting dust. Maybe if I can make a micro case for it I’ll put it under my desk with linux on it too :slight_smile:
