Sega Neptune - DIY - and it actually works!

Every once in a while we need to take a break from code, documents, etc. and work on a project wit our hands. Or at least I do. So, in honor of the Genesis’s 20th anniversary, I embarked upon a weekend project to build a DIY version of the fabled Sega Neptune. And the damn thing actually works! Pics and video link below.

And a video of it working:

The walk through is from http://www.longhornengineer.com. I made some modifications to his design. Build one for yourself!

So it can basically play 32x and Genesis?

Basically, yeah! SEGA was supposed to have launched a system called Neptune that did the very same, but was scrapped. Got the plans online and built my own

That’s badass! I would have no idea how to do that stuff.
