The Disney Mobile Studios team is looking for an Audio/Video Integrator to manage the operational processing of audio and video content for Disney Mobile Studios. Typical duties will consist of acquiring content, converting media files into multiple formats, working with creative and encoding vendors, and uploading media files and entering asset meta-data into Disney Mobile Studios’ content management systems.
Responsibilities:
CONTENT ACQUISITION
- Receive assets, such as media files and video tapes, from the WDIG creative team, external vendors and/or other Disney departments
- Review assets to assure adherence to specifications (i.e., media formats, file formats, picture sizes, platform compliance)
CONTENT PROCESSING - Convert content into destination file formats using automated tools
- Deliver content to external vendors for processing into destination file formats
- Perform quality assurance (QA) checks on converted/encoded content using computer applications, handset emulators and/or handsets
CONTENT UPLOADS AND SITE UPDATES - Upload media files to back-up servers and/or content management systems
- Enter asset meta-data into content management systems, mainly via an HTML interface
TEAM INTERFACE AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT - Maintain effective working relationships with teams and vendors providing content
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in electronic multimedia production and/or site integration
- Strong computer skills, including some level of experience with audio/video production, encoding, file conversion and playback
- Background in music and/or knowledge of music theory
- Familiarity with common multimedia asset formats (e.g. JPEG, MPEG, MIDI)
- Familiarity with common production and multimedia applications (e.g., Adobe PhotoShop, Windows Media Player)
- Bachelor degree in any subject or training/certification in an Internet-related field
- Knowledge of and interest in wireless technologies
