this is our biginning of an small RPG game…
we need an battle system but we dont really know hoe to make that work…
Looking good so far. Could obviously use a lot more detail. Especially some animations. Your collisions and z-depth could be better. He collides at the base of things a little too close and when you walk, the player flickers and your stats just constanstly (only when moving). Better key events could be better for more smooth gameplay and precise movement would be nice. Just my 37 cents.
The FF3 style is fairly easy to implement. Just make some backgrounds, give the monsters some random AI and some stats, and set up timers on everyone. There should probably be a stat that handles everyones timings.
Just a few shallow thoughts on a very deep subject.

and fine biginning it is, here is a tip…i have allways liked RPG games where head is wider than shoulders this makes the characters more qute and im sure im not the only one who likes qute characters…!

Nice, but try to work on the character’s movement, to make it smooth. Also, the collision detection needs a little fine-tuning.
As for the combat system, I’ll second drslinky1500’s post.
