If you view an internet forum as another person’s home, all the apparent lack of freedom of speech and democracy makes perfectly sense.
In your home, you don’t have to listen to other people’s ideas etc. You can just send away unwanted persons like door salesmen when they want to come in and sell their stuff. It is your home/server space and you can decide to censor anything you want without telling anyone your reasons, but then you might not get so many friends 
JGO’s monarchy system seems to work pretty well, we already have a bunch of dukes, just need to rename Riven II & ChrisM to King and Queen and the rest to peons, should clarify matters

this has been tried before, and it always turned out to be a huge disappointment.
IIRC, we came up with “a space trader game with crop rotation” - which is pretty much what we will end up with again.

imo it should be a mini game
like tower defense or maybe 2d flying shooter
well with opportunity to grow luxury in case of the plan “minimum” will be completed
