Release date?

Hi, I was wondering if there was a roadmap or a release date for the final release of JSR-231 1.1.1?
Our team is waiting for the text rendering facilities of this version but we’d rather wait for a final release than use a nightly build or a release candidate.

Sorry to hold you up. No, at the moment there’s no fixed release date for 1.1.1. Note that 1.1.0 (which has already been released in final form) contains the TextRenderer and to the best of my knowledge there have been no significant bug fixes to it in 1.1.1, though I might be misremembering when some fixes went back. When would you like to see it released? There are a couple of bugs in the JOGL Issue Tracker I’d like to fix before releasing 1.1.1 but am pressed for time right now.

Ah! Excellent. I didn’t see that TextRenderer was in 1.1.0, since we used the older 1.0.0 version and saw TextRenderer in the nightlies (and thought this was a new thing in 1.1.1).
I’ll use this version then, there is no rush for us to get 1.1.1.
