Recommend setting public Xith3D page

Excellent David, I’m really psyched to see this coming around. Hell, I’ve even joined the mailing lists which I had intended not to do, just to make sure I knew all the details of what’s going on.

Though I haven’t requested developer status, I’d be happy to pick up any little tasks you’d like to help out, or just sit and wait until you feel the package is stable. You da boss.

Paul

I think this is a great move.

I am just a bit curious about the legal status of the project from Sun’s point of view. Did the acceptance of the project mean that Sun allows Xith3D code based on Sun’s Java3D interfaces to be distributed under the BSD license? I hope Chris or someone else at Sun can clarify…

Good question. I will post a message to the mailing list and see if anyone knows.

You’ve probably all noticed by now that Xith3D is under the games-middleware project and should be visible to everyone.

Just so you all know, projects go into the games-inbox until their approved, at which point they’re (usually) moved to the correct project category and become publicly visible. When I approved Xith3D, I forgot to move it. My mistake.

On top of that, I was away from my desk most of day or else I would have spotted this thread sooner. Fortunately, Dan noticed the post to the mailing list and was able to correct my mistake.

Once again, my humblest apologies. :-[

That’s ok… these are the sorts of things that I would expect until everyone gets familiar with the processes involved.

It’s just good to know that it was something so simple and not a problem with the system itself.

Shadow Volumes? would be nice dude
Collision detection :)…

Hey ant, shadow volumes are in:
