I thought I would point out the irony of this:
http://No IPs please
umm demonpants, u may wanna have umm u know blocked out the ip’s
well if its any consolation, I’ve already slain half a dozen spambots since the recent changes
I did.
I always ban the user, IP, and host.
But I did notice he got another post in before it went through.
Naturally he meant that my ip was shown in the screenshot… :persecutioncomplex:
I didn’t want to edit your post, but it seems ChrisM took over
yeah, thats what I was going for ;).
just looking out for riven there
Oh snap!
Sorry about that Riven. I should have edited it out indeedy.
The image is still on imageshack :’( horror from the evil doers awaits me
I bet your IP is rather easy to discover anyway
Not that it’s any use to anyone.
Cas
Well, my avatar already binds (probable) IP addresses to usernames, so yeah, I can give you most IP addresses of quite a few regular visitors. Having said that, it’s not that easy to hack somebody with only an IP address. It’s a lot easier to lure people to a malicious webpage and infect them right there.
I’ll create a GUI interface using Visual Basic to see if I can track the killer’s IP address.
Riven, I can’t edit the image now that it’s on ImageShack. I have done you a serious wrong. :’(
Oh that makes me cry inside :’(
One can only wonder how this conversation was created… as screenwriters don’t even know about VB, or what GUI means, so they must have done some research. They must have asked somebody in their tech department on what they should let her say. That makes me suspect a very well respected programmer answered their question with this nonsense, while keeping a straight face…
Seriously, I watched that clip 5 times, it’s still funny.
No worries, my revenge will be sweet. ;D
This is weird, I just removed another spam post in this thread… :persecutioncomplex:
well not much of a surprise, there are about 30 spam accounts created every day on JGO even though most of them don’t post anything (maybe cos their ip is blocked?)
Just look at the latest members list on JGO, pretty easy to see they are mostly spam accounts.
JGO seriously needs some sort of stronger verification when registering for a new account.
I meant that out of all active threads, this thread was hit twice.
are you implying that the spam bot is taking some sort of revenge? ;D
The level of artificial intelligence has advanced to appreciate a sense of irony. Pathfinding is so 1999.
