Re: Real issue about Java on websites

Agreed. Here is the reality of the boards and I’ll leave it alone. The boards have been cgi since day one. Why? I am the one that has to put the boards up and administer them and I needed something that was quick and easy to use. This was important to me since maintaining JGO is one of my many jobs at Sun with regard to forwarding Java technologies in the games industry.

With regard to the old boards, a lot of you did not like them (look, feel, etc.) and I agree that it was a “bit” ugly  I think that this is a fine looking and performing board. It dosen’t consume a tremendous amount of disk space, is easy to modify and maintain, provides the features most of you requested, and looks very nice.

I hope we can put this to rest here and get back to the task at hand, providing you with a community forum that allows you to continue building games in Java.

Thanks as always for your support and honesty.

Gotta LOVE those code blocks. ;D

Now I just have to figure out how to get them to do indenting properly…

Yep, for sure, but can I (we?) get them in a little larger font? (my IE shows them as “readable in a painful way”)

I’m using Opera and also find the code blocks use a painfully small font.
