Raspberry PI + Minecraft

Ok guys, so first of all, sorry for spam topics lol I have made a lot lately. Anyway…
So I have 2 RPI’s and I was wondering… i play minecraft and instead of using singleplayer, I play a single player server… there are a trillion reasons why, but in short, its just better. So, my server is just a single slot white listed offline ssp server basically. I also use mods with it so… forge and a bunch of forgemods. I was wondering, do you think I could run this thing off of a rpi? I mean I know they dont have much ram so… idk. Considering that its singleplayer… idk. What do you guys think?

BTW: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=27889 - YES!!! now to install mods… hmmm

ok, so when i try running the server, i get: Error: Invalid or corrupt jarfile server.jar

anyone?

edit: vanilla server runs fine but the mods … not so much. any ideas why? would appreciate help! thx!

You should probably ask these questions on the Minecraft forums, instead. And obviously your jar file is either invalid corrupt, if that’s what it’s telling you.

I believe it runs the mobile version of minecraft, not 100% sure, but I think it does.

What version of Java is your Pi running?

i just did sudo apt-get install openjdk or whatever that command is… but yeah, i think the java i have it out of date… idk… is there an auto update script i could run?

edit: yeah, i got it working btw… but yeah, outdated i think

Get yessen the Oracle Embedded JDK 7. Has proper Hotspot compiler and 100% compatible with desktop Java. You want the hardfloat version.
