How about a forum under “Java Game APIs” dedicated to Project Darkstar?
Quite a few members here (including myself) seem to be excited about the project.
tis a bit quick. if they do they should close the one on the darkstarsite.
I’ll be happy to try to monitor and answer questions here, but ast least for the moment the main support forums i thin kar going to be at the project site.

I registered and requested observer role, but i can’t write anything to the forums (or i don’t find the button to do this ???).

We’re workign on sorting that out in general at the moment. Thats likely nto the final forums space anyway.
Hmm… I can’t access projectdarkstar.com from China. My browser resolves the IP, but the server does not responsd (or is blocked). Maybe it is because I am behind the “Great Firewall”? I can hardly believe that there is something political on this site… ???

Hm. The downlaod is from the java.net communrtyi downlaod server. Can you get aything else from that server?
We have export restrictions we have to adhere to in the US. In order to export code to some coutnries we have to go through extensive governmental paperwork, which we havent done (and Im not sure we really want to do right now.) Is China on one of those lists?
I just doublechecked it and there’s no problem with java.net or subdomains…
Not sure how restrictive China is when it comes to importing software. But usually they are much more picky on web content than on software content (well, with some exceptions but which are far off from what projectdarkstar is about). Maybe that is only a local problem. I often experience that pages are not accessible for weeks from the university network but acessible from my 500 meters away home or vice versa… but projectdarkstar can’t be accessed from neither locations.
But that’s no problem. I establish a SSH tunnel to Germany on occasions like these.
