I apologize that I have not done a lot of research on this subject as I couldn’t find all that much on the topic.
What I am wondering is how I could go about retrieving and processing the data in an audio file to create an equilizer or waveform type of graph effect. This would just be for testing purposes for now, but the idea of a sound-driven game has intrigued me for some time now and I’ve been looking for a way to implement it. If anyone knows how I would go about doing this in Java, or really any information about processing audio data and audio visualizations I would be really gratefull.
Thanks,
Try googling JMF or “Java Media Framework”
