Problem with adding a direcotry to the classpath in Netbeans Early Access

Dear coders,

today i’ve installed NetBeans 4.1 Early Access. Normally i use JOE, a simply Java Editor for scripting.

All my javas are not compilable within netbeans. Most extra jar which i need to be imported into my classes can’t
be found by netbeans.

Within JOE i add a local directory to the classpath and all packages are available for import but within netbeans i can’t find
any register where i can add a direcotry to be searched for further jar’s

Within in netbeans all buttons for compiling (F9) are disabled.

Im not sure what’s going on. Is there anybody out there who can help getting in runnable

Oliver ???

Have you created new project? When no project is opened, NetBeans can read files, but cannot compile them or run them.

Netbeans v4.1 early access?
How old is this?

Because …
° there’s Netbeans v4.1 final
° there’s Netbeans v5.00 Release Candidate 1 available

Maybe one of these two solve your problem?
