It’s an applet where users create and experience each others MPOGs. Kind of a game CMS if you like. Two players must be online at the same time before you can play. These are the rules. We hope you’ll have fun @ http://213.173.255.177:8081/cervantes/
PMG is a pay-per-view shared revenue 2POG (2 player online game) web-service where users play 2D audio games. The games themselves comes with a typing interface similar to Kings Quest I to III by Sierra On-Line. Two players are required, which means that two players pays.2$ and hook up with each other. Game creators, on the other hand, pay 100$ to publish their game and gets 80 percent of the revenues of the game.
I remember Kings Quest V, i think I have the cd somewhere…anyway, Im sort of confused as to what a 2D audio game refers to in terms of gameplay and also on how the 2$ fee thing works. It’s a neat looking GUI from what I can tell so far. Ill check it out more later on
I just noticed a very minor little interface thing, nothing really just nitpicking, but the forms are easier to fill out if you can tab through them IMO. I kept hitting tab and it would change the menu.
My computer just broke down. It’s the second computer that breaks down during the four years I’ve programmed PMG. I’ve ordered a MediaCenter from Fujitsu-Siemens with a tv-card. That’s cool, so I can watch tv while you play my games.
I’ve translated the thing into german. Please, Demonpants, could you check out if I got the german expressions right. I’m a little rusty on my german.
Thanks for your registration. I hope you’ll enjoy the site once real games starts coming up. I’ll try telling a little “game-story” by late october 2006.
