PMG - Early Access

PMG!! It’s going to be great!!

It’s an applet where users create and experience each others MPOGs. Kind of a game CMS if you like. Two players must be online at the same time before you can play. These are the rules. We hope you’ll have fun @

PMG

I don’t get it ???

Hello Kingaschi and welcome!

Thank you for registering, if it is you who are registered as ‘test007’. You’re the first registered user which is pretty exciting for me.

This site is all about making poetic little games with two players in them.

I will make two Flash Captivate tutorials for you by friday. Those tutorials will teach you how to:

  1. Hook up with a user and play a game.

  2. Create your own game.

Sincerely

Morten

Hello Kingaschi,

I’m trying out your game @

http://www.aevumobscurum.com

I was quite stunned by the GUI, the mouse cursor and the graphics in Aevum Obscurum.

One minor first observation: The font is nice, but maybe a bit difficult to read.

I’ve put in $10 to your account: test007

Sincerely

Morten

Hi Morten.

I’d like to check out your game, but the link is dead. Care to fix it, and maybe tell us a little bit more about the game?

Hi Demonpants.

Thank you for your interest in PMG. You made my day!

The link is fixed.

Here’s a small tutorial which shows you how to register:

PMG is a pay-per-view shared revenue 2POG (2 player online game) web-service where users play 2D audio games. The games themselves comes with a typing interface similar to Kings Quest I to III by Sierra On-Line. Two players are required, which means that two players pays.2$ and hook up with each other. Game creators, on the other hand, pay 100$ to publish their game and gets 80 percent of the revenues of the game.

Welcome

I remember Kings Quest V, i think I have the cd somewhere…anyway, Im sort of confused as to what a 2D audio game refers to in terms of gameplay and also on how the 2$ fee thing works. It’s a neat looking GUI from what I can tell so far. Ill check it out more later on

I just noticed a very minor little interface thing, nothing really just nitpicking, but the forms are easier to fill out if you can tab through them IMO. I kept hitting tab and it would change the menu.

Looks pretty nifty! Can we get it not in German?

Thank you! I’m honored you say it’s: nifty!

My computer just broke down. It’s the second computer that breaks down during the four years I’ve programmed PMG. I’ve ordered a MediaCenter from Fujitsu-Siemens with a tv-card. That’s cool, so I can watch tv while you play my games.

I’ve translated the thing into german. Please, Demonpants, could you check out if I got the german expressions right. I’m a little rusty on my german.

I might have a present for you if you find mistakes.

KQV is awesome, although my favorite Sierra On-Line game is and will (most likely) always be KQ3.

2D audio game is just a small adventure game really.

The 2$ fee will most likely (again) be changed to a subscription based payment.

Thanks for your suggestion. You are now able to tab through the forms.

The new site is at

Next week I’ll get my VeriSign certificate.

Thanks for your registration. I hope you’ll enjoy the site once real games starts coming up. I’ll try telling a little “game-story” by late october 2006.
