Personalized Picture

Hmm…

I seem to have problems trying to setup my
personalized picture… :-[

What is the size or dimension restrictions on the picture?
I’m using a jpg picture right now…

Which is suppose to be ok…
Should I switch to gif ??

Anyways, any help would be appriciated :-[

I use a jpg too so that shouldn’t be the problem. The size is 80x80 but it should resize itself to that.
I don’t know what the problem is (I can see the picture if I copy/paste the URL in my browser), but you could try to resize it to 80x80 yourself.

Oops forget that 80x80 size comment, it’s 65x65 and resizing is not the problem. Ergo, your guess is as good as mine. :-/
To make things weirder, after having loaded your pic manually in the browser it is obviously cached and now it does show up here too. Maybe (wild guess), it’s a case sensitivity thing?

If you copy and paste it in your browser, go to it, and then press back, the image shows up.

Maybe Geocities has added a “no Geocities pictures on non-geocities page” type thing?

I think nickdotjava is right!
Try to change your path to http://www.mycgiserver.com/~movegaga/SmallDoggie.jpg

I took the liberty to upload your pic to my web space.
If that works (I think it does), then we’re sure and you can find yourself another home for your pic
(hint, mycgiserver.com is free and supports java too)

PS. to check if it works when things have been cached, you can press CTRL + click refresh in IE without having to clear your cache.

Hey !!
It works now !!
Thanks so much Erikd !!
I really appriciate it !!!

Man, Bad Geocities >:(

:-[ :-[ :-[
need a bit more help…

Which class does a servlet usually inherit from?

I thought it was javax.servlets.http.HttpServlet…

uhhh, message board pic to servlets? ???

heh heh, javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet would be it, yup.

I’m trying to sign up for mycgiserver.com account.
they ask this question in order for you to sign up…

Which class does a servlet usually inherit from?

Apparently, javax.servlets.http.HttpServlet is
not the answer they’re looking for… and as
a result… won’t let me sign up… >:(

that’s because it’s not the answer. The package is javax.servlet, not javax.servlets
