PBuffer multisampling

sc_pbuffer = new Pbuffer(w, h, new PixelFormat(8, 24, 8, samples), null, null);

The above instruction crashes my machine when samples>0. I have an Nvidia FX5700 with 71.89 drivers.

Other OpenGL tests show that multisampling works, so what happens ? Maybe a driver issue ??

I’m feeling alone…

no more posts to the LWJGL forum ???

I can’t help, fraid I don’t know, but have you tried the forums at http://www.lwjgl.org, there might be more lwjgl related activity there?

Kev

I didn’t try there. And I would like not to make my Nth forum registration…

But I’m quite sure there should be some officials lurking here btw…

The pbuffers implementation on all 7x.xx drivers has been problematic for me. I’m suspecting the addition of EXT_fbo, even if not exposed on early 7x.xx, is the cause of these problems.

You should try a newer version. The latest 77.40 has been the most stable so far. It’s on nvdeveloper though, if you don’t have access try one of the leaked 76.xx.

v77.40 ?

I have the 71.89 which is the latest released (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html)

I found the 76.45 on guru3d.com. They are WHQL. I’ll try them and I’ll let you know…
