I’m hoping it is okay to post this here–I am a research recruiter on assignment to find people who play Java games on their cell phones–people who do NOT have a PC! Do such people exist? If so, there is a paying research focus group discussion for them to think about attending (see details posted on the jobs board here). But any replies to my question above will also be appreciated! Thank you.
hehe one thing’s is for sure you won’t find a person like that on an on-line forum
I have a friend that don’t use computers, but he also despises any technology in mobilephones that goes beyond talking and sending SMS, I would guess that is quite common amongst computer unintrested pepole.
I think you will have to look amongst pepole that is so poor they can’t afford a computer to find such a person. Maybe do some targeted advertisment in a ghetto or something?
good luck anyway, I can definitly see the value of studying such persons.
Thanks for the note and idea–and your comment about not finding these guys online made me laugh. Hey, what about students who use a computer lab or library but don’t own their own PC?
True, but your set of relevant people has already dropped - there just isn’t a significant number of people who play Java games on their cell-phones and don’t have a PC, but still browse Java game development forums.
Have you asked at your local mobile phone retailers? They might be able to give you a few pointers, or maybe you could come to an agreement with the manager to allow you to put a poster up in his shop?
