Opinion of LogicalNetwork.com

I’m really looking for some good feedback here on this new site and hopefully even some involvement by people that have anything to provide or can gain anything from it.

Resrouces sites are IMHO useless unless they guarantee the owner of the copyright of each work.

I can’t afford to be sued and/or find I have no artwork left because I used “some robot I found on the internet” - it’s illegal, for a start.

Well, the poster is agreeing that this content is public domain and freely useable by anyone for any reason.

Everything posted has to go through an approval process before it appears on the site and if anyone finds any material on the site of a copyrighted nature they can submit a request for it to be removed. This is meant as a place to provide free content that is freely useable by anyone.

Thanks,

Matt

Okay guys, just posted an update that should increase performance as well as added a Browse feature to browse by category and subcategory.

Sorry, we need, need, need to see copyright information there. While you appear to be quite happy to put the onus on the uploader for checking copyright, it’s pretty clear that that scheme isn’t working.

There’s no way in Hell someone intending to publish will use a model for which the only description is “Some random robot I found”.

Realistically you do, but since there is only one copyright policy, “completely open for any use”, it doesn’t need to be spelled out per upload.

How else can you do this? I mean, ultimately it always has to fall onto the uploader to say, “yes, this is freely available to use”, and ultimately we just have to take his word for it. Please, if there’s another way to do this please explain it to me as I would love to make this site better.

Matt

Uploader is creator of work, and posts evidence of copyright in their name, or posts evidence of the original copyright holder granting it as free work (could be as simple as an email from them).
