For most common video cards such as nVidia and ATI ones?
So long as you have the latest drivers, even the older cards like the GeForce 2 MX 400 can use the latest version of OpenGL. The hardware companies deserve much credit for supporting their older cards.
Will.
I’m targeting Nvidia TNT2 as the minimum with Squareheads. It was the top of the line when Q3 came out. It’s got 2 texture unit, and great performance.
Thanks guys! That’s very helpful.
My stock response to this kind of question is to check the Delphi3D hardware registry:
They maintain a great list of card capabilities - searchable either by extension or by chipset. Vital information for anyone working with OpenGL.
Great! Thanks!
