There are java implementations of Infocom’s famous Z-machine already. What are your goals with this project?
After visiting the website:
Good:
- It’s already in developement and working
- There’s already documentatoin
Eh:
- There’s already Java based game engines in the MUD community that sound as if they are more fully developed.
- The project is already being hosted on sourceforge.net; a larger and higher-traffic community, of course it’s also more difficult to get attention among the many projects. Still, I wonder why the move to java.net.
- I’d like to see (at least plans for) a room/character/event editor.
I would strongly encourage visits to the website, though I won’t support project approval until there is more to show. Maybe it is simply lacking adequate documentation to illustrate how mature it is.
Are you really going to move your project over to java.net or do you just want a link off the games site to direct people to your project?
