Can we expect an update to the odejava natives as well?
Good question - ODE 0.7 was released a few days ago. I had no luck in compiling the native bindings at all, not even with v 0.039 of ODE.
Odejava can be built with ODE 0.5 afaik. It looks like it is not maintained a lot. I have posted about patching it for 64 bit support but didn’t receive any answers :-
Looks like Will Dennis has other things to do… or probabaly ODE is not that attractive for enough Java people any more . . .
ODEJava has been greatly used but now Will has not too much spare time cause his work (in the game programming industry) eats his time.
JOODE is a pure-java effort which can be used easily as a replacement of ODEJava : I think you should take a look at it, contributions are welcome.

Cool, great news! - you guys have a reasonable featureset already finished? I have read the feature list on the homepage; are they considered stable already?
Whatever I could tell you, you gotta try. Download the SVN, run the tests, see by yourself : it’s the only way you can really find out if a lib is fine.
