Nokia 3310 (Android) NEW fixed VERSION (0.1.5)

Hey guys,
I am programming an application for Android, which simulates the Nokia 3310.

I know it’s more a tool than a game, but it will also contain the game Snake.

The acutal version is 0.1.5 and you can use this app to make a call.

Screenshot (v 0.1):

Minimum requirements: Android 2.2 (Froyo)
This app works with every resolution and screen size.

My TODO list:

  • call function
  • pixel font
  • number pad
  • working menu
  • snake
  • status bar (signal and battery)
  • more

I have deleted the version because of some layout problems: opiop65’s post

Well, I tried it, and I found a few issues:

  1. When typing, the response time from when I actually hit the key to when the number shows up on the screen is very slow, which is odd.
  2. I hit call, then canceled when it asked me what app I wanted to complete the action with. When I returned to the app, there was this weird white keyboard on the screen that wouldn’t go away.

I have a GS3.

We can’t just move one from this phone, right?

It’s “Menu” and not “Meny”

Thank you for the feedback. I will improve the app soon.

  1. It’s very slow, because the app uses LinearLayout with weight. I am fixing this.
  2. Which Android version are you using?

Will you be able to run J2ME on it?

I’m running CyanogenMod 10.1.

I fixed it. Download the new version 0.1.5

I am working now on the menu and signal status (v 0.2). The game Snake will be added to the version 0.3.

Do I need rights from Nokia to publish this app? Or should i just erase the “Nokia” label?

I guess I still have my 3310 somewhere. ;D
