The Guild of Java Dev; a Skype group. Because why not? It’s meant for anyone who wants to join, who is currently a member of JGO. I feel like it will be a really fun way to interact with other people who share the same experiences and befriend some people from the industry. You can send builds of you development process through the Skype file sharing feature. Stay on topic and what not. I’d like to do mini game jams once a month with the people who are in the group. I will allot 1 week, and there will always be a topic that we will vote on as a group. Similar to Ludum Dare. Just with more time, since we are all limited in that area. I’m still a noob. Noobs are welcome. I’m always trying to make as many friends as I can, no matter what the background is. You can never have enough, and talking with you guys in real time would definitely be fun. I’m a regular poster here, in fact I post way too much for simple issues. But it’s just a great community. Everyone is always so patient, kind, and just insanely smart, and good at solving any problem I throw at them. So if you wanna join the guild, just invite me on Skype with my terrible 5 year old username my twin made when he was younger, which I later endeared for myself: kidsrawrinurface
You can reply with your Skype as well right her in the forums, or I can add you if you send a friend request and then you can begin chattin’. It’ll benefit everyone, and it will evolve our community into a stronger one in doing so.
