Yeah, well you have the rank of Banhammer, but the only way to give moderator abilities (I thought) was to add you manually as a forum-specific monitor to every subforum. Apparently when you do that it overrides your ranking to show Moderator if you’re a moderator in the forum being viewed. When you’re in personal messages you’re not in a forum, so Banhammer is what becomes visible. For a reason I can’t control, Global Moderator is higher priority than Moderator in terms of being visible, but Moderator is higher than Banhammer.

So can you ban / delete / moderate globally now? I didn’t give you permissions in every forum manually - this is sort of an experiment. 
It was odd, I appeared to be able to delete posts only from the JInput forum, but I could split posts out and delete whole threads from any forum. Thus my main method for deleting a spam post in a forum other than the JInput one was to split just that post, then delete the new topic. Great fun it was.
I appear to have a delete button on this forum now too (not checked others yet, but I guess it will be there :)), and I have the delete and ban options when I view a user profile now.

Huh. So somehow Banhammer was given admin (or at least global moderator) privileges without me directly choosing them, and there’s no way to get rid of them. 
Good thing to remember if I decide to give out rank awards for a JGO Comp or something. Really weird though that it magically has lots of privileges… Showcase Moderator never had them, that’s for sure. Could it be the red admin stars?
I’ll probably get rid of most of the forum-specific moderators, seeing as this now works for everyone. That way it is a lot less cluttered, and you can happily see your Banhammer rank.

Meanwhile… for some stuff we really need your help Chris. We desperately need a SMF upgrade, if only for security fixes. Further, I believe Demonpants tried to reach you through email, which might or might not be an active emailaddress. We’d love to make some minor changes to the forum template (thread pages) so we can show images of awards for every user. Please keep in mind that the functionality would run on another server, so it cannot compromise security in any way. We’d be extremely grateful if you’d allow us minimal access to the server, or we could give you instructions on where to insert some trivial HTML code, whichever option you prefer.
