The title says it all. Anyone going to give it a go this time around?
I might if there’s an interesting theme this time (ie I can think of an interesting game idea…)

Ooo. If theres a decent theme I might be taking part in that.
I’ve never heard of that, can someone enlighten me?
I edited the title of the thread to include ‘hour’.
So basically you have 48 hours to create a game. Any language and the rules are very lenient on what libs you can use. You just can’t use a ready made game engine or game maker type of thing.
Assets like sound, graphics, etc must be created within the same time frame.
Personally, I’ve only entered one of these and my entry got horrible reviews because 1) it was an applet and 2) most people who tried it had the default ms 1.1 vm so it ran like crap. (plus it wasn’t a complete game and the gfx were horrible and… you get the idea :-/ )
Is there a page about the competition rules etc? I couldn’t quite see it for looking (albeit fairly quickly).

It’s real simple, Kev: just before the compo starts, they release the “theme”. Then you have 48hrs from that point to submit a zip or installer of a crapcake game based on that theme with all your horrible programmer art and free sfx I might possibly enter.

Sounds cool, think I’ll have a go too. Praying on a theme I have some ideas on
