New Java Based Project Up

Hey there,

I wanted to share a project I have started with you.
https://www.facebook.com/pages/edit/?id=101898093263958&sk=basic

Fabula Divina is an old school tactical RPG with a modern twists. It is based on old school games like Ultima, and Rogue-Like games, and mixes some elements found in newer games like Diablo, Torchlight, and others.

Fabula Divina makes use of the cross platform Java-based Enigma Game engine. The game and the engine itself is being actively developed.

If you have any desire in any way to contribute to the product, whether it is playing, or developing, or helping add/create/dream up content, feel free to drop us a line.

Broken link.

Hey all,

It has been a minute since I posted this.

The game now has a website:

http://www.fabuladivina.com

I was wondering if there are any peeps on here who would like to work on an old school project like Ultima.

There is a play test posted. There was quite a bit of feedback generated, and I have been doing a lot of iteration work on it since then.

If anyone would like to know more about the project, please write back.

The .zip is 115 MB, a bit large. To get more ppl downloading, try paring it down.

Oh, I see what you did. You put the stuff for all the OS’s together. I think you should make separate packages for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Then the download size is only ~52 MB.

Hi

This thread should be moved into the “showcase” section, shouldn’t it? Anyway, a zip is not very user friendly, why not using an installer (Java Web Start, IzPack, GetDown, …) or an applet?

Can’t find the DL link.

@ReBirth it’s under the download section about the 3 paragraph down. It’s a gray link.

Okay. Hmm the window is too tall to play on netbook :frowning:
