New game creation! Help needed!

Hello

I’m currently seeking a few Java programmers with some free time. This is a free project and you will only be expected to work in your free time.

Currently, I play a game called Call of Combat. Please visit www.callofcombat.com, download, and check out the game. We have a community of nearly 400 active members and nearly 1000 periodic visitors. My goal is to recreate this game, with better graphics, and better game play. I will be funding a host server and website. I’m currently recruiting/looking for a few solid graphic designers/ animators, and of course, programmers. I know it might be hard to fathom the though of working for free, but if you would like a chance to put your programming skills to test, please contact me.

My name is Mike Riddick

You can contact me at michaelriddick@hotmail.com
P.S: I was former staff at Call of Combat and this post and my initiative is upoin the request of my fellow community members.

Thank you for your constructive criticism. Your comments have been noted, and are actively being ignored as we speak. Thank you for visiting JGO! ;D

well as for a book, id recommend ‘Developing Games in Java’ by David Brackeen. It assumes u already know java but know nothing about game programming.

I wish you luck on your project - I’m currently unavailable for outside projects but wish to remain active in providing assistance and constructive criticism. Your project idea is very vague - what are you trying to update in respect to the various aspects of the game, e.g.: gameplay, presentation, etc. It might help you get recruits if they had a better idea and where you stand in all of this. For one, are you a programmer?
