New feature: filtering boards and topics from recent posts listing

This has been a feature has that been requested way too many times for me to ignore: filtering certain boards and topics from the recent posts listings. I finally bit the bullet, and now everybody can visit JGO without being bothered by their pet peeves.

What actually happens behind the scenes when I ignore a topic or a board

  • It is filtered from the recent posts listing
  • Nothing else really…

You can unignore/unblock topics and boards by following the same procedure. How convenient!

Does this also filter them from your “show new replies to your powers” page?

Yup. I had to modify a few dozen queries to get this filtering to work, so if topics/boards show up when they shouldn’t, I might have accidentally skipped a query.
