There’s a load of threads that have appeared already just around this one comp. A “hobbyist-only” or “strict limited development period only” comp might also spring up for all those who feel they can’t enter this one; it would be good to funnel all those threads into one category.
Note: Just because java.net is supposedly going to (eventually; it’s not there yet!) have a forum for discussing the competition doesn’t mean JGO doesn’t need one too. All the people who don’t enter will want a place to discuss and ask questions, and (as mentioned above) it would make it much easier to get new ones going.
It should go in the “Java Game Development” section.
Perhaps our board could bring this up and get it done ASAP (unless there’s a reason not to?). I say ASAP because technically the competition has already started so we can’t really wait 1 month or whatever until th enext official meeting (competition will be half over by then!)
