How about a new section of the board (on the same level as JavaGaming.Org, General Game Topics, Java Game Development etc.) for certain specific APIs and technologies.
When an API or technology gains popularity, it may begin to dominate in forums that are supposed to be about more general technologies. For example, if GL4Java started getting a lot of thread-space in “Java 3D”, create a “GL4Java” forum underneath the “Specifics” section. Threads specific to GL4Java may reside there, leaving those after more general Java && 3D information alone.
