Didn’t you already do the Tetris NIO one at one point blah?
Also, another bug in JGF, when viewing the first proposed article all went well clicking on the link above. Then I selected tutorials in the top list of locations, then under, ‘Ideas for new tutorials’ I clicked ‘View Current Proposals’ which links to http://javagamesfactory.org/views/proposed-articles and I got the error
Error attempting to process your request
Error:
Could not find script file to choose template name; filename = viewscripts/proposed-articles, and could not find any templates beginning with name = proposed-articles
I was logged in at the time incase that makes a difference.
Endolf
P.S. I would have PM’d you this rather than airing it in public, but you had troubles viewing my last one
When I first started learning nio I googled for tutorials. I found a converting tetris to nio article (that actually was a great help)…
On first glance the article seems to be the same one as this in JGF… (probably same author?)
But I can’t seem to find the other one by googling anymore, could this be because what is happening is actually just moving the existing article to JGF?
Oh, well, doesn’t matter… it’s a great article anyway, and sure is worth $25
But if the games were actually developed, why not include their source code as well?
Yes, me :). Although I never finished it, and now in hindsight I’m splitting it into two pieces (although this is taking a lot of effort, 3+ hours so far, I think it will be worth it when done).
It was hosted temporarily in one place, whilst being written, then was moved to the old JGF site (jgf.com, instead of .org), and that site is now retired too.
Nah, money’s coming out of my own pocket, so I would be paying myself ;).
they weren’t, which is part of what I’m hoping to correct
