I can perfectly imagine that people sing songs about IDEA as well. It is sympathic and it ‘feels’ good. You can feel that the developers love what they do (as with NetBeans).
For Eclipse, an IDE pressed into market by a huge company with loads of money and marketing, with a propreitary GUI, with many many developers sitting in their cubes beneath cold neon lights … no wonder nobody wants to sing.
Its like … singing about Emacs, vi, TeX, … possible.
About MSWord? No way.
Well I’ve found a few songs which contain the word “idea” but none of them is really famous. If you know a famous song with “idea” let me know and I’m sure to come up with some good alternative text
