Need help

What’s the best way to simulate the sound of an accelerating car? it’s for my racegame, but with the AudioPlayer it is not really going well.

HELP WANTED!!

Heres some ideas:

  1. Hang out the trunk of a friends car with a tape recording and try to capture the engine noise on a tape recorder

  2. Wax paper and fine toothed comb. Makes music too!

cheap:

two sounds… low rpm engine sound and high rpm engine sound.

both are looping all the time and u simply fade (volume) between em.

better:

one sound (low rpm) wich is looped all the time… and it’s playback speed depends on how fast the car currently is (the faster u play it the higher is the pitch)

but… dunno how to do that in java :slight_smile:
