I have had some problems in the past with my computer, but it seems that it has finally passed by.
When i try to boot it, tries to read from the floppy, beeps a sigle time and then reboots itself without even lighting the screen.
A sigle beep means that something is screwed on my system memory, but i replaced it with a working module and it didn’t do any better.
if i unplug all the ide devices, then it beeps 8 times, what means that there is a video memory problem, but i tested my video card on my brother’s pc and it seems to be ok.
i can boot it if i try several times, at first only with the floppy plugged, then with one hd (primary master) and the floppy, etc… and i have managed to burn some backup dvd.
It looks like it’s time to upgrade… i’ll post a posible configuration for my new pc
