Mozilla screwed me over

I had an odd crash yesterday while in the bookmark manager of Mozilla. Well it didn’t really crash; it gave me a dialog box then closed. The result? I lost all my bookmarks, passwords, and settings, everthing. I had over 200 bookmarks of really excellent resources both programming and otherwise :’(

Thats what I get for not stay up to date with the latest version I suppose. But man, that REALLY hurts :’( .

Oh well, guess I’ll use this oppurtunity to start over with firebird…

that sucks! - but with everything personal, you need to remember to take backups…

They are not lost, look for “lost bookmarks, firefox” at google and see how to restore them

Basicly they are stored as a HTML page somewhere

Heh, guess the title of this thread should have been “I screwed myself over…” but in my defense I was very distraught at the time :stuck_out_tongue: .

Middy - Thanks, I’ll google into that for mozilla.

For Firefox it’s there:
\user data(or so)\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.odq\bookmarks.html

Mozilla’s location is simmilar. Also you can make backups from within the bookmark manager (bookmarks->manage bookmarks). File->export.
