about time they set up an ultimatum. Hopefully oracle will see that their Field Of Use is bollocks.
Will Oracle budge or give a damn? unlikely.
Wow, I’m just a programmer, what does it all mean? :persecutioncomplex: ;D

Where? I see no games!
Oracle responds to the Apache’s statement! but they’re still not going to give them a TCK.

Guess Oracle are finally starting to get it and at least starting to talk/respond to the community.
Blah why don’t they just hand over the TCK…
Because they do not want competition?
They may not want competition, but then perhaps they might have realised that Java’s true potential is probably being severely hampered by this level of meddling in its evolution.

just an update the JCP voted and approved all the JSR’s for Java 7, 8 and Coin.
No surprise that Apache and Google voted against them but almost everyone else voted for them.
oh dear, it finally happened, the ASF has left the JCP.

I guess the real question is, “Does this hurt Java in the long run or is it symbolic at best?”
