more basic questions

ok, trying another option…with bad results
I want to draw squares that are outlined but filled with a different color…I tried coplanor polygons in different modes but the line falls into the z fighting issue that happens with most coplanor rendering problems, asside from assigning textures to the squares is there an easy way to do this?

I also suffer with z figting, for some of my coplanor borders I put the border into the the texture, although it doesn’t always produce the nice crisp border that I’m looking for, but maybe it works for what you need. Please feedback if you find a better solution. So far I mostly use the two pass approach of render textured surface, then draw an outline in line mode, I think the same as what you are doing.
