Materials + Transperancy

Hi all,
I was wondering is transperancy of an object possible through materials? I ask this because I would like to have lights on as well as transperancy.

I tried setting the Emmisive channel to have an alpha value of 0.5f, that didn’t work.

Any suggestions?

did you enable GL_BLEND?

GL11.glEnable(GL11.Gl_BLEND);

I have yes and it still doesn’t work, but it doesn’t matter. Me and my team have decided we dont need it anymore.
