LWJGL.org blocked from work

Noticed something interesting today. Tried to surf to www.lwjgl.org from work today to download the api. To my suprise our companys web blocker said that this page has been blocked. The product the company is using are Websense (www.websense.com). Websense uses a database that categories each web adress and then it is up to each company to specify what categories that is acceptable.

I looked up what category www.lwjgl.org has been labled as and it was Games. Fair enough but I nevered had any problems reading any online gameing papers. So I checked what some of the had been categories as, Entertainment. Gotta love automated categorising tools.

So I ended up att sourceforge to download the api directly.

That’s because games and anything related to games is garbage in the adult corperate world, and a waste of time and worker productivity!
Nothing possibly good can come of games and gaming related research. It’s all frivolous rubbish made for children and layabouts!
Leave this site immiedately and get back to work.
