Yeah, it may seem really similar to Guardian, but there are major differences, even if the framework is based on that of Guardian and the pixel art is similar.

One of the first things I would probably change is that you have a near black head/helmet on a black background.
I think a non ‘pure black’ background or a different colored head would help make things stand out a bit more.
Also, I found it strangely annoying when I was walking, and attacked, it stopped me from walking for a moment to attack. I don’t know why I really dislike that but it bugged me.
I think if it add some sounds and more polish you could make it into a fun bigger project game. Keep up the good work
