I started work on a short animation project today, that I’m code naming Rock On! I’d appreciate any feedback people would like to give me. This is pretty much my second animation, but I’m pretty happy with how it is so far.
I’m using the free rig Generi.

Suggestions:
When the right arm moves up, the upper body should also have some movement from it’s momentum. Not alot, but it shouldn’t be static.
Eyes - When the head is moving the eyes should move as though they are looking at something instead of remaining static with the head movement. Also, maybe a blink or a squint to be expressive of the action being performed.
mouth - Should be expressive based on the actions being performed. Curl the lips, open mouth, etc.

Changes: A bit more lower body movement and spine movement at the beginning. A bit more (snrk) blinking.
I’m not sure where to add the blinks, any ideas? Also facial expressions, I have no idea when to change them.
I’ll work on the upperbody movement that you mentioned next update.

It’s looking better!
The body movement is pretty good now from the lower body movement, but could still use a tilt forward or backward (just a very little) from the arm. The eye blink and closing at the end is a nice touch.
Great start. I’d slow things down some. There’s a lot of ‘stuff’ going on that I want to take in, but its over so quick I feel like I missed ‘something’.
