wow, way to go, to hint that this java is not THE java.

whats up with that page ? =P

I don’t know, but they have too many Flash ads.

probably a weak attempt at avoiding the Oracle trademark, yet at the same time they are capitalising on it.

Java island, not islands. It’s on Asia so call it “between Asia and Australia” is wrong.

Ads? What Ads? Good ol’ Adblock

Adblock and Noscript for glory!!!

Noscript? Why use that? I never understood the point of blocking Javascript.

NoScript:

  • prevent loading annoying iframe of facebook like box which showing some faces that I dont know who.
  • prevent google analytic
  • can block some ads that missed by Adblock
  • forbid audio/video/flash/silverlight
I dont mind whitelist and reload a page one more time after I notice need of js afterall

Yeah I have click2flash, so I didn’t see the ads, but I still knew they were there.

Try Killing the ads on JGO

Awww, http gets added on and it gets opened in a new window which breaks it. :frowning: You can copy the URL (sans http) and put it in the browser bar to get it to work.

On another forum, you’d be banned for that post.

I just destroyed Riven with a space ship.
I’ve always wanted to do that.

If you’re playing a multiplayer game with somebody named ‘Riven’, it aint me…

Have you even tried the javascript Eli linked to?

javascript:var s = document.createElement('script');s.type='text/javascript';document.body.appendChild(s);s.src='http://erkie.github.com/asteroids.min.js';void(0);

…why?

Well

Providing a link on a site that seems to give instructions/scripts to remove ads from the very same site.

kinda ‘not done’, etc.

Oh. Yeah maybe I should have clarified it’s just a silly local javascript that I quite admire. I added that js into a bookmark on my bookmarks bar, so now I can hit it on any website and blow up all the images, divs, and text. Hooray for wastes of time.

I have had that script on my bookmark bar for as long as I can remember and I’ve wasted so much time with it…ugh :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you so much for posting a link to that javascript xD that’s so awesome.
