morning hmm if you’re referring to the red part, it says Java Gaming; As you have pointed out it could be a tiny little bit difficult at first to recognize. Yet if I changed it in an attempt to depict clearer letters the logo looses its style - I mean its supposed to look as one whole graphic as opposed to a graphic with typed text near it. 8) Nyways, your logo looks good:) simple and clear with colors that match the style of the forum.

Great effort, but unusable for several reasons.

Oracle won’t allow us to use the coffee cup in that manner.

Extremely difficult to read.

It won’t scale.
A logo needs to be as recognizable at 30px as well as 300px. Unfortunately, the logo you made won’t work. This is the principle reason we changed the original Java logo to the current version. It scales and retains all of it’s detail, making it consistent from use to use.
I do like Appel’s logo and the GhostDuke from pjt33. How to combine the two?

Maybe this is to be assumed, but before finalizing something like the logo from Appel, there should be a bit of kerning applied so it doesn’t look like it reads: JAV-AGAMING.

DukeMan! Maybe the logo is chasing him? Maybe the logo (for animation) is made up of edible dots (==drinkable cups of coffee?).
