I can read from the gamepad on windows. On linux it doesn’t show up at all on the controller read test that comes with jimput. I’m running puppy linux 4.2.1, with Kernel 2.6, i believe.

I am very sorry for writing on this veeery old thread but even if my answer is not the answer to this question it may help others.
I had an similar problem with my Rumblepad2 but on a Fedora 17 box.
The problem is that the ‘joydev’ kernel module is not installed by default. To get Controllers and Joysticks working just install the ‘kernel-modules-extra’ package.
It may be unnecessary to post this here but i have searched days to find this solution.
