Now I just need to convert some models to FLT format to try it out 
Do you have any suggestions for converting existing models (in either OBJ or 3DS format), other than forking over about $10K to Computer Associates for the OpenFlight package? Or is there a free or low-cost converter?
I think Polytrans might work on FLT models. Have you tried it at all? Or maybe I can save to FLT from 3D Studio. Hmmm…
