Libgdx SpriteCache size

Talking about the Libgdx SpriteCache, if I dont use the indices and set the initial size to a very high number, is there any significant ram or gpu penalty?

whats “high” ? well I dunno 100 000 ?

considering I may have a couple of tile layers and big maps… yes that is a lot but the size would have to account for any kind of amount.
also you wanna have only 1 spritecache as per javadoc
