Libgdx #1 Android Gamedev Framework

Posted that on the blog a while ago, thought i’d leave it here as well for fame and bitches.

We are quite far ahead of Unity and AndEngine. Hope this gets even better once iOS support is complete (almost done…).

I’m highly anticipating iOS support. You are beyond amazing! Keep up the awesome work!

Shameless whoring!

Too bad we don’t make anything off it. Not to be greedy, but even a tiny bit of compensation for something proven useful by so many would be reasonable. Oh well, generating income wasn’t the goal from the start. It is nice to know that millions of people have used our software.

Woohoo Kryo also made the list!

LibGDX is delicious programming crack.

.> In fact, since I started messing around with Android based stuff, I haven’t used another framework.

Avian inside ;D

Is there at least a “donate” button somewhere? You guys should promote that button

Had to switch to monoTouch, but at least it is progress.

I had tons of time at some point in my life (earlier this year) and started a port to C++ with iOS back-end.
Now I’ve got the Raspberry PI, I am dreaming of making the glue code for this back-end too.

Now clearly I don’t have any more time and the project is temporary halted…hopefully not for long.

Libgdx is the best thing ever. I have no more time partly because of it…eg. a job.

What was wrong with Avian?

Mario can expand, as it’s his abor…baby, but MonoTouch was easier to get going. Avian was too much work, not debuggable, and has software floats.

Hey, I read your book on Android games dev a few months ago on my kindle. Good stuff. Especially with the spacial hash grid for narrowing collision checks - I use that concept in my 3D PC game now. I learned heaps about game programming in general.
