Hows about this for an idea:
A Get Java service that installs Java if necessary and then launches your JNLP URL, ie.
http://www.java.com/getjava?url=http://www.puppygames.net/downloads/superdudester.jnlp
Then we truly do have 1-click Java launching!

I guess what they mean is: …couldn’t (install java and then web start) the doc… 
I think your idea is great tho. Granted there will be a number of OK buttons to click before you actually get the thing started, but it seems like some ppl get scared when they first have to install java and then click java webstart to get a game going. Sad and a bit strange but too often true. :-/
It would also be nice if the only input needed for the procedure would be:
“Agree to all legal stuff. Install java in default way and launch the game” [Yep] [Nope, I wanna configure settings]
